We had the very unique and intricate job of rendering the internal curved staircase from top to bottom.
A company called Vitruvius Building Conservation asked us if we would like to get involved in this incredibly unique project. The project was to render the curved wall that stretched the whole height of the building via a curved staircase, which we believe was once used by servants to access the lookout tower.
Logistically we had the ongoing challenge of every footstep being on a staircase step, and even more of a challenge was that the wall was such a sharp curve.
We found the best way to approach this project was to use an air compressed render gun, building each layer by spraying render on to the wall.
